How many times do you wake up to the sound of your alarm, jump out of bed and rush to get ready and out the door?
How many mornings have you taken the time to stop and take in what is around you; pausing the rush of the morning routine?
I started something I call waking with a grateful heart every morning. My alarm goes off at 4:30am and I know the clock starts the moment I open my eyes. Our morning routine consists of working out, getting myself and the kids ready and out the door on time for the bus and daycare and then heading to the office. It would be very easy to roll out of bed and start the crazy routine everyday without giving it a second thought.
Instead when I open my eyes - I pause. I take a deep breath and in my heart/mind thank God for 5 things I am grateful for. Before my feet hit the floor I begin the day with a #gratefulheart which leads my day off with a positive action.

If not I highly suggest that you give it a try - I love starting my morning off with a grateful heart and starting my day off on a positive note.
